Our History

Founded in 1926, Blythe Cricket Club is a proud, community-driven club based in North Staffordshire, with nearly a century of tradition and achievement. The club provides opportunities for players of all ages and abilities — from All Stars and juniors to senior, women’s, and development teams — all united by a shared passion for cricket and community spirit. With a thriving social scene, growing membership, and a reputation for nurturing local talent, Blythe CC is more than just a cricket club; it’s a family. As we approach our centenary year in 2026, our mission is clear: to develop the best local pathway for cricket, promote inclusivity, and ensure Blythe remains a place where sport, friendship, and pride in the community come together.

Norman and Freddie Wildblood founded Blythe Colours Cricket Club, the below photograph is believed to be the first team photograph of the club.
