Blythe Cricket Club – Drugs Policy
Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to protect the health, safety, and wellbeing of all members, guests, and visitors to Blythe Cricket Club by ensuring the club remains a drug-free environment.
As a family and community club, Blythe CC has a duty to safeguard young people, uphold the law, and preserve the club’s reputation and licences. By operating a zero tolerance approach to illegal drugs, we reinforce our commitment to providing a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment where cricket can be enjoyed responsibly.
Policy Statement
Blythe Cricket Club operates a zero tolerance policy towards the possession, use, or supply of illegal drugs by members, visitors, or guests on club premises or when representing the club in any activity.
We are a family-focused community club, with a duty to protect all members – especially juniors – from exposure to illegal or harmful behaviour. Illegal drug use also places our club licences, reputation, and long-term future at risk. These are risks the club will not accept.

Review
This policy will be reviewed annually by the Commercial, Socials & Fundraising Committee and updated in consultation with the Club Safeguarding Officer (CSO).
